What is Storage and Transfer (Bandwidth)?
STORAGE: When you put your website online it is stored on another computer called a server. Your website
takes up space on the server. This space is measured in KB, MB or GB. The amount of space you need depends on the size of your
website, how many pages of text, the amount of pictures, etc that are being stored.
TRANSFER OR BANDWIDTH: When someone looks at your website the file (or data) is transferred to their browser. The data
transfer rate is called bandwidth. The amount of transfer bandwidth you will need depends on how many visitor you get each day and
the number of files (pages and content) they look at.
